From time to time, Dropbox will quit either because it crashed or because Outside Open ran some updates and the server was restarted. Either way, getting the Dropbox application back online is a pretty simple process. Read through all the steps to familiarize yourself with 1. Remote into VCSFILE
In the search bar of the DI Dept computer (Liam's machine), type in Remote Desktop and launch the Remote Desktop Connection application.

[[File:01-Dakis.png]]

2. Connect to VCSFILE
From the drop down menu, choose VCSFILE. Hit OK. The password is already set. This will launch a new window which will bring up the VCSFILE Virtual Desktop.

[[File:01-VCSFILE.png]]

3. The Connection Will Load
This is essentially what it will look like. It will be like a window with another desktop inside of it.

[[File:02-VCSFILE.png]]

4. Check the Status of the Dropbox
On the lower right hand corner you can hover over the Dropbox icon and see if it's syncing. If it's actively syncing and you can see progress, it probably means there's quite a bit to upload and it's not finished. You can also right click on the icon to see a more detail view of what's happening

[[File:03-VCSFILE.png]] [[File:04-VCSFILE.png]]

5. Launch Dropbox
If the Dropbox icon isn't there in the right hand lower corner, you may need to simply start it. On the desktop you'll see a Dropbox shortcut. Launch it. Watch while it gets going to make sure it starts syncing. You should be good to go.

[[File:05-VCSFILE.png]]

6. Restarting Dropbox
Sometimes, Dropbox is on and it's simply stalled. That's not too common but it does happen. In this case you'll want to quit the Dropbox application and start it again. Right click on the Dropbox icon in the lower right hand side. Then click on the CSPL logo. Then click quit. This will quit the application. Give it a moment before relaunching it as described in step 5.

[[File:06-VCSFILE.png]]

7. Close the Remote Desktop Window
Simply close the window. And you should be all set.
