How to Make a CD or DVD Manually[edit]

Note: In order to make a DVD, a blank DVD MUST be manually placed on the CD stack at the CD recorder.

1- This must be done from the Rimage Computer, connected to the same monitor as the Frontline System computer, find the toggle to change the monitor and accessories from one machine to the other.

2- Open "My Computer" "Windows Explorer" or the "Network" folder, and navigate to the containing folder for your files (usually in \\ADC001\array100\1_Images)

3- Copy the folder containing your images to the desktop (CD/DVD's can only be made from files locally on the computer, you cannot make a CD from files located on the network)

4- Open QuickDisk CD/DVD making program

5- Select "New" on left side, and select either "Data CD" or "Data DVD"

6- Drag & Drop individual files, OR sub folders if applicable, into the drop area.

7- Click "Next" in top right. Fill out customer name into the appropriate value field. In the "Description" field put the total number of scans on CD.

9- Click "Next" in top right. Fill out the CD name with a custom name if applicable (if no CD name given, leave as "Photo's") and increase the number of CD/DVD copies you want.

10- Click green "Record" button on top right. This will create a CD/DVD image, load a CD/DVD into the recording tray, record the image into it, then transfer the CD to a printer, and print the label on it.

Note: No 4" x 4" index will get printed with this method. Index's can be made manually by sending folders through the Frontline Ticket Creator (FTC) with the "z" code. If a job has sub folders, send the containing folder with the "z" code to include all the images on one index.
