Print Scans

Note: It is possible to scan prints larger then this size in sections and DRC'd together, but I would recommend a Digital Capture for the best result.

Size Requirements - Print scans do not have a minimum size requirement, but have a maximum size requirement of 12" x 17"

Standard Resolution - 600 DPI approximation

Maximum Resolution (available upon request or used to prints images larger then originally sized) - Up to 12800 DPI

Film Scans

Film can be scanned at the following sizes

SilverFast-SE Epson PerfectionV700

Our current scanning utility, allows for reflective, transparency, positive, negative, and batch scanning

General

Scan Mode: Batch Mode for scanning multiple pieces of the same page, allows for advanced file names.

Original: Reflective for print scans, transparency/transparency(full area) for film or transparent scans.

Pos/Neg: Choose between positive or negative film scans.

Frame

Scan Type: Leave at "48->24 Bit Colour"

Filter: Use "None" for print scans, OK to use "Auto Sharpen" especially for film scans. However, sharpening tools in Photoshop are better.

Image Type: Leave at "Standard"

Output: This will show the final output size of the scan area you selected. Slider at the bottom will change the DPI, will also show final megabyte size under MByte.
