Control Strips are processed twice a week (Tuesday & Thursday) for the Frontier printers. Once a week for the Chromira printer.

Process for reading:

  • Turn on X-Rite color checker machine at least 5 minutes prior to taking control strip readings
  • Open Oasis program on the desktop of the computer
  • Click the READ button for the corresponding printer labeled on the control strip
  • Take reading in the order displayed on OASIS (typically the order is: D-MAX, HD, LD, STAIN, Y-MAX)
  • After the reading is taken click FILE, then SHOW GRAPH
  • The Frontier printers will be off by 0.6 or 0.9, this is OK
  • Repeat the process for each control strip
  • Take all of the labelled control strips to the back and discard ones older than 30 days
