Website

This is the information published about fine art prints on our website:

At Color Services, we apply ink to fine art paper in a creative and beautiful process called giclée which is French for "fine spray". These exceptional prints are produced using archival paper along with ink that is archival to 90 years. Our Hahnemühle Photo Rag paper is 100% cotton, has a sturdy structure, a smooth surface texture and premium matte finish.

General Information

We produce Fine Art Prints on our Epson P9000 using archival pigment inks and super high quality archival papers. From time to time you might get customers asking for something like a Giclee Print or an Archival Pigment Print. These are all the same thing. Museums will use those two terms interchangeably. Along the same line, our Photographic Prints produced on our Frontier are sometimes referred to Darkroom Prints, or C-Prints, or Chromogenic Prints. These are all the same. We use the highest quality papers to produce archival prints that are exposed with light and processed in chemistry using light sensitive paper. This is very important to photographers and artists who are reselling their work or having exhibitions.

Also note that Color Services has been awarded the status of being a Certified Printing Studio for Digital Fine Art Printing by Hahnemühle. We've gone through an extensive process of review of all of our printing processes with Hahnemühle to obtain this certification. So our customers can be assured that they're getting the highest quality prints possible when they order prints from us.
