==Harman Phoenix 200 Scans ==
Phoenix 200 is a new experimental C-41 film from Harman/Ilford. It uses an unconventional clear mask instead of the traditional orange mask of Kodak and Fuji C-41 film stocks. Due to this discrepancy, when scanning the film with the Fuji Frontiers the scanners are anticipating am orange mask and correcting for it. This gives Phoenix 200 a very high contrast and color shifted appearance. The clear mask of the film lends itself to being scanned as if it were an E6 color positive film, then having the colors inverted in photoshop. This method yields a more natural appearance to the scans with more neutral contrast. [https://www.harmanphoto.co.uk/wp/wp-content/uploads/sites/3/2023/11/Phoenix-Scanning-Parameters-151103-1-1.pdf These are the recommended settings for the film to be scanned from Harman/Ilford.] '''When a customer drops off a roll of Phoenix 200 please ensure that they are aware of the different approaches to scanning.''' This is a color negative processing.

Cross Processing E-6 in C-41

Normally film will come out contrasty. The film type also is a factor in how contrasty. Some people push their film 1 Stop but is not necessary.

Coffee Processing

Coffee Processing yields black and white negatives. Instant coffee and Vitamin C are used instead of a standard film developer.

Converting Digital Files Into Slides

DR5 in Denver, Colorado still does this - http://www.dr5.com/ -

E6

This is reversal process that yields transparencies. Since slide mounts are no longer manufactured, we can no longer provide mounted slides as an option on 35mm E6 processing. We no longer provide E6 processing in house. We outlab it.

We are now shipping E6 film to Fromex.

We ship out on Thursdays and the typical turnaround time is 1 week.
