'''Setup''' - Preferences and Settings can be changed for the Shoebox scanner, by clicking the "Setup" icon in the "Scan Validation Utility".  Here you can change things like DPI, which side of the image is being scanned, and the type compression the file receives(.jpg or .tiff)

'''Scanning "batches"''' - Prints can be stacked into small "batches" and stacked on the Shoebox Scanner, and the scanner will grab the prints from the bottom of the stack and scan them.  Caution must be taken, as the prints can shift and skew when being stacked and scanned, and will produce "warped" images.   This usually occurs when stacking "glossy" images, as there is less friction, "matte" prints will have more success in stacking and scanning.

'''Checking images for errors''' - When scanning, you should stop occasionally (maybe every 50 images) and check the scanned image files for quality, and streaking.  Though previews of the images appear in the "Scan Validation Tool" but may not show things like dust streaks, or artifacts.  Things like dust streaks and artifacts will continue from scan to scan, and will not stop unless the Shoebox scanner is opened and manually cleaned.
