Dakis Orders Stuck or Not Downloading
For a number of reasons the Dakis Downloader will stop downloading orders. Sometimes it's because Outside Open has run patches that evening. Other times it will crash when large orders are trying to download and the download stalls in the middle of it. Either way, this is what you need to do in order to get the downloads rolling again.
1. Remote into VCSFrontweb.
In the search bar of the DI Dept computer (Liam's machine), type in Remote Desktop and launch the Remote Desktop Connection application.

2. Connect to VCSFrontweb
From the drop down menu, choose VCSFRONTWEB. Hit OK. The password is already set. This will launch a new window which will bring up the VCSFRONTWEB Virtual Desktop.

3. The Connection Will Load
This is essentially what it will look like. It will be like a window with another desktop inside of it.

4. Get the Dakis Downloader Back Online
If the Dakis Downloader is not open, find the Dakis Downloader application shortcut on the desktop and launch. This will initially bring up a black command window box. You can minimize that, but don't close it out. I typically just leave it. It needs to be open to keep the Dakis Downloader running. The actual Dakis Downloader will eventually load.

5. Initiate the downloads
It will take a few moments to reload all the orders in the queue. Wait for that to happen and hit the check now button at the top of the application. The application checks for new downloads on it's own since we always have it "Auto Check" button on, but that could take another 10 minutes or so for it to hit its next cycle. "Check Now" will getting rolling right away.

6. Check the IPS Order Manager
Make sure the IPS Order manager is open and running too. This application pushes the orders onto Frontline or to the network depending on the given product.

7. Launch the IPS Order Manager If Needed
There's a shortcut on the desktop to launch this application.

8. Lastly, make sure that in the Dakis Downloader that both AUTO CHECK and AUTO PRINT are enabled.

Dakis Orders Not Printing[edit]
For a number of reasons sometimes the Dakis Orders are not printing out on the customer service laser printer. If you've already checked to make sure that the orders are in fact downloading as outlined in the steps above, you should do the following
- Make sure that there's printer paper in the printer. Sometimes the most obvious thing is easily overlooked.
- If that wasn't the issue, go back into VCSFrontweb and print the orders out manually. In the Dakis downloader simply select/highlight the order missing its printout and at the top click on "Print Form".
- If that doesn't print, that probably means that the VCSFrontweb Virtual Machine has lost connection to the printer. So, shut down the open windows and applications and restart VCSFrontweb. Give it a couple minutes and you'll have to log back in, fire up the Dakis Downloader. Give it a few moments and then print out what you're missing.
Dakis Orders Not In Labworks[edit]
This can happen from time to time, but less of an occurrence IF the downloader is on and downloading the orders. In the case the all those things look fine, you should check in Labworks. This will help you figure out what's happening.
- Go to Labworks>Tools>Dashboard. This will open up a window that has two frames within it. On the right hand side the frame is called "Files not Processed". What's kinda easy to overlook is that there are two scroll bars on the right side. One is for the frame on the right, then right next to it is a scroll bar for the entire window. You want to use the outer most scroll bar to scroll down and reveal the status of the Queue. If there are no files in the Queue, that means that Greg's uploader is not working. Simply restart VCSFrontweb, wait about 5 minutes and then log back in. Restart the downloader. It should start working momentarily. Greg's uploader cycles about every 15 minutes. Then Labworks has its own cycle for processing those order files.
- In the case there are orders in the queue and they're still not showing up in LW after about 15 minutes of seeing that they're waiting and not being processed... You'll want to reach out to May at Labworks. Email her and let her know that the the Order XML files are not being processed. She can check on her end and will fix the issue.
