Design SA[edit]
It's important to open up each Standout Mount order in Design SA before doing any color corrections or making the final print. Many times customers will not pick the most pleasant cropping for their images. Make sure that their uploaded image uses up the entire photo area in the design to achieve the nicest looking final print. All standout mounts will be defaulted to print out on the Chromira.
- Launch Design SA
- Type in the order number into the designated box.
- Click OK to open the job.
- This will reveal the job as it was originally submitted to us by the customer via colorservices.com.
- Make sure the layout looks good and make any modifications you feel would improve the layout. Keep in mind that we are the experts on what is aesthetically pleasing however it's also important try to understand the customer's intention. Use your best judgement.
- Once you're finished modifying the layout, look for the drop down menu in the Design SA application. Select the number of prints you'd like to make and then click on the "Step 3: Continue" button in the application. This will send the job back into ColorStation with a new job number. The customer's name will also change to "wrapper@colorservices.com".
- Locate the new modified job, perform the color corrections for the images WITHOUT ROTATING or CROPPING THEM IN COLORSTATION and then release with the new modified code as described below.
Frontline/ColorStation Codes[edit]
All orders for Standout Mounts come in with a print code in ColorStation that needs to be modified by the technician to reflect the paper surface chosen by the customer. You can find the paper surface selected by the customer on the work order. Matte, Glossy or Metallic. Keep in mind you MUST NOT rotate images while doing the color corrections in ColorStation. Perform color corrections as you normally would and then release the job with the new modified print code.
